The Arduino Leonardo is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega32u4. It features 20 digital input/output pins (7 PWM outputs and 12 analog inputs), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, micro USB connection, power jack, ICSP header, and reset button. The ATmega32u4 has built-in USB communication, eliminating the need for a secondary chip. This allows the Leonardo to appear as a mouse/keyboard and virtual serial port. It is supported in Arduino IDE 1.0.1 or later.
