The MQ2 Gas Sensor Module is a Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) type gas sensor, also known as a chemiresistor, that detects gases like methane, butane, LPG, smoke, and more. It operates on 5V DC and consumes around 800mW. The sensor can detect LPG, smoke, alcohol, propane, hydrogen, methane, and carbon monoxide in concentrations ranging from 200 to 10000 ppm.
To use the module, power it with a 5V supply; the power LED will glow. Allow preheating time before reading output. The output LED indicates gas presence at a specific concentration, adjustable via the potentiometer. The analog output can be used to measure varying gas concentrations.
